Day 1 : Nairobi

On arrival at the airport, meet your guide. You will be transferred to Hemingways Nairobi a boutique hotel that has elevated the standard of luxury for the high end travellers. Overnight at Hemingways Nairobi.

Day 2, 3 & 4: Laikipia (Ol Pejeta Conservancy)

This morning you will be transferred to Wilson airport for a morning flight to Nanyuki airstrip. Upon arrival your guide will transfer you to the camp in Ol Pejeta Conservancy; journey time is approximately one hour. Lunch at camp then relax until afternoon tea is served. Venture out onto the rolling plains on a game drive to enjoy the wonderful array of game on offer. Game driving in the Ol Pejeta Conservancy is a rare pleasure with few vehicles in the wilderness zone. Upon returning to camp join other guests for a drink around the campfire or in the cosy lounge tent where you will join your hosts for dinner.

There are a range of activities to choose from during your three day stay here including lion tracking, mountain biking, canoeing, game driving or take a walking excursion with one of our guides and a ranger. Walks range from 2-3 hours and can be adapted to suit your preference. Enjoy a picnic breakfast out on the plains before returning to camp. This afternoon one can explore the wilderness again on a game drive, visit the ranching program or the Wildlife Centre. Overnight Kicheche Laikipia

Day 5, 6 & 7: Masai Mara Reserve (Mara North Conservancy)

After a leisurely al fresco breakfast, we now fly to the extraordinary destination of the Masai Mara. Scenically, it epitomises the Africa of childhood imaginings: the lone Acacia tree against the cobalt sky, rolling plains that positively heave with life, the sluggish curves of the Mara River choc-a-bloc with hippo and crocs and the odd red «shuka» of a Masai herdsman who carry on their normal pace of life, largely oblivious of all the commotion around them.

Upon arrival at the airstrip your Kicheche guide will be there to welcome you and drive you to the camp – Kicheche Valley camp OR Kicheche Bush camp – whilst enjoying a short game drive en route. At the camp you will have some time for leisure, lunch and afternoon tea. Then you will set off for your afternoon game drive followed by evening sundowner drinks overlooking the plains… arrive back in camp in time for showers and drinks around the camp fire.

A typical day at the Magical Kicheche starts early as tea or coffee is brought to your tent. Enjoy a full breakfast at camp before setting off on a full day game drive to the reserve or another conservancy. You will see differing terrain along with plenty of animal and bird species on your extended game drive. Take a break in one of the many scenic viewpoints where your picnic lunch will be set out. After your break continue game driving until you arrive back at camp late in the afternoon. Wind down at camp after an exhilarating day in the field and gather at the campfire for an aperitif before dinner is served later in the evening. Overnight Kicheche Mara Camp.

Day 8: Nairobi – Departure

After breakfast, you will take your final scheduled flight back to Wilson Airport in Nairobi. From here you will follow through with your post trip plans or take your flight back home.
